As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our compliance with the regulations set forth by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in Saudi Arabia, we are reaching out to confirm your obligations with respect to e-invoicing and QR code requirement.
However, it seems that the ZATCA App has undergone an update and is not giving any option to scan the QR codes. Please find below screenshot for your reference.
Could you please help us understand with this update? There is no Home Page option that was available previously on the app.
Hi @Ankit.K.Tiwari : Please find below attachment of the result I am getting while clicking on VAT Services.
Unfortunately I am unable to upload the screenshot. Could you please help me how do I upload the screenshot to this page so that I can show you the result of “No Data Available” appears when I click on VAT Services
Dear @Ankit.K.Tiwari we are also experiencing the same issue, seems like issue is with outside KSA, we have checked with the customers in saudi, they are able to get the screen but at same time in India we are not able to get the option.
Till April’25 we were able to use the ZATCA Application outside KSA and did not get any restriction issue. It this restriction imposed newly. After checking with ZATCA support team via call, they told that there is no restriction of using ZATCA Application outside KSA.
And if we cannot use the ZATCA application outside KSA to scan the QR code, then how should we scan the QR code and comply with the rules and regulations of KSA E-invoicing.
@Ankit.K.Tiwari : Please provide assistance in this case. We are unable to scan the QR codes, what should be the next approach from ZATCA rules and regulations perspective.
Hi @Ankit.K.Tiwari :Could you please suggest on my comment above. if we cannot use the ZATCA application outside KSA to scan the QR code, then how should we scan the QR code and comply with the rules and regulations of KSA E-invoicing since we did not receive such confirmation from ZATCA support"
@MizbaSayyed scanning QR Code is an optional check that the user can perform. So long as invoice is Reported / Cleared successfully all requirements are fulfilled from VAT Regulations and E-Invoicing requirements perspective. That said, please be assured that relevant teams are assessing the ways to enable scanning outside KSA.
@Ankit.K.Tiwari : Which is the relevant team we can reach out to. The ZATCA support team says it is mandatory to scan the QR codes for supplier invoices. I am asking my question from Accounts Payable perspective..
