Recently, some taxpayers experienced an issue when ZATCA rotated the SSL certificate configuration for the APIs to maintain system security and reliability.
To ensure uninterrupted service and seamless integration with ZATCA APIs, we recommend all the taxpayers and solution providers to implement the following proper certificate handling practices such as:
- Avoid hard-coding certificates.
- Use system-level trust stores or other dynamic methods for certificate validation.
- Ensure your systems are configured to trust valid, updated certificates automatically
Please note that SSL certificates may be updated at short notice and without notification as part of routine or urgent security updates.
To avoid service disruptions, taxpayers and solution providers are encouraged to implement proper certificate handling practices including those suggested above.
