Service Unavailable – ZATCA API Down

Dear ZATCA Team

We are currently experiencing an outage when connecting to the ZATCA API.
All requests to the clearance endpoint are returning the following response:

Details

  • Issue: Service Unavailable (HTTP 503)
  • Impact: Invoice clearance process is completely halted
  • Environment: ( Production)
  • Started at: (before 90 mins)

We have confirmed that:

  • Our network connectivity and system configuration are working correctly.
  • The issue appears to be on the ZATCA side, as the API is not responding at all.

Kindly confirm if there is an ongoing maintenance or outage affecting the service, and please advise on the expected recovery time.

Dear ZATCA Support Team,

We are currently facing an issue while connecting to the ZATCA API. The system is returning the following response:

Response Code: 503  
Message: Service Temporarily Unavailable

This issue is occurring during the API call to generate/clear invoices. Our integration was working fine earlier, and no configuration changes have been made recently.

Please confirm if there is any ongoing service outage or scheduled maintenance on the ZATCA compliance/production environment.
Kindly provide guidance on when the service will be restored or if any corrective action is required from our side.

We would like to inform you that we have received numerous complaints from our customers stating that the Zatca platform has been completely out of service since 11:00 AM today, OCT 20, 2025, until the time of sending this message. and also they faced un-stable communication with ZATCA service since last Saturday OCT 18 2025 early morning.

This outage has disrupted our ability to provide our services as required, leading to customer dissatisfaction and impacting their business.

We hope you can urgently clarify the reasons for this outage and the expected timeframe for resuming service.

We are also facing the issue from yesterday ,lot of 504,503 & 500 responses

same error {‘httpCode’: ‘500’, ‘httpMessage’: ‘URL Open error’, ‘moreInformation’: ‘Could not connect to endpoint’}.
and no response from ZATCA team .

Our Clients Are also facing the same problem

Last Reported Invoice was an hour ago

Last Cleared Invoice was two hours ago

just now they were able to clear invoices again

There is a global AWS server outage going on. If at all, there could be some services at ZATCA side that might be depending AWS. So expect it to be resolved in coming hours.

is there the issue solved or not ?

Looks like resolved as many of our customer even we are now able to submit and invoices got cleared.

We noticed that it was resolved at 12:30 PM KSA time.

Is there an explanation for this problem?
