I’m getting a certificate error on staging environment even though I’m using the correct certificate and key. I’m getting the error when trying to clear an invoice.

The error you are encountering is due to the API URL being incorrect. It seems you are using the developer portal link (“https://gw-fatoora.zatca.gov.sa/e-invoicing/developer-portal/invoices/clearance/single”), which is specifically for clarification during the onboarding process.
For the simulation environment, kindly find the APIs_sim image that shows the correct APIs for simulation environment.

This is what I’m getting when trying to access the simulation portal. Do I actually have to register my account for VAT?
What if I only want to do some testing?
Is there any other way I can get a test OTP for the simulation portal so I can test onboarding and then clearance?

If the company is registered with VAT, and its VAT is active, then you can test onboarding on simulation environment on Fatoora portal.
Access to fatoora portal, switch to simulation environment, then generate a new OTP to start testing the onboarding process.
