Intermittent timeouts on Reporting and Clearance APIs – Connection reset by peer (Production)

Hi ZATCA Team,

We are currently facing intermittent timeout / connection reset issues on the Production (FATOORA Core) environment affecting both the Reporting and Clearance APIs.

Issue Description :

We are seeing frequent but intermittent API timeouts, where requests fail for a few minutes and then start working again. This cycle repeats multiple times during the day.

  • The issue is currently ongoing
  • It affects multiple taxpayers
  • It impacts both Reporting and Clearance endpoints
  • The system recovers automatically after short intervals

While this is not a complete outage, it is causing:

  • Delays in invoice processing
  • Increased retry traffic
  • Downstream impact on client systems expecting synchronous responses

Additional Observations :

  • No recent configuration or deployment changes were made on our side today
  • Request payloads are within normal limits
  • The same integration works normally outside the affected time windows
  • The behavior is consistent across different taxpayers and CSIDs
