Failure to share invoices (B2C) with the Authority within 24 hours

We received the following email from ZATCA:

Whereas it has been noted that you have not complied with the requirements of the second phase of electronic billing - linking and integration. This includes:

Failure to share invoices (B2C) with the Authority within 24 hours.

We understand it’s mandatory to submit invoices within 24 hours. However, in our business, invoices can sometimes take an extra 2 days to be signed and submitted, causing a discrepancy between the invoice date and the ZATCA submission date.

This email was received by one of our clients, while other clients with similar delays haven’t received any such notification. Does this email pertain specifically to submission timing, or could there be another reason?

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

dear @arjun_tech24,

Yes.B2C invoices should be submitted upon 24 hours fromits generation time, this is the timeline by ZATCA, Signing & reporting B2C invoices, must be processed within 24 hours, it shoudn’t take more than that, so you are advised to change the internal process/procedure of reporting invocies in your business to make it compliant with ZATCA regulations.

And regarding the received E-mail, we encourage your client to follow this up privately with their releationship manager to avoid disclosing any sensitive information of your client.

Thank you,

Thank you so much for your help
