Is it permissible to maintain two separate, independent chains of B2B Standard (clearance) invoices under the same registered entity in ZATCA?
Context:
Based on our current implementation, Standard invoices (B2B) submitted for clearance include a reference to the previous invoice’s hash and invoice counter, effectively forming a sequential chain from ZATCA’s perspective.
We have a business requirement to operate two distinct invoice chains simultaneously under the same entity. for example, to support separate business units, systems, or transaction flows while remaining compliant with ZATCA’s e-invoicing regulations.
Specific Questions:
- Does ZATCA’s system support multiple independent invoice chains under the same registered entity (same VAT registration number)?
- If yes, what is the technical mechanism to achieve this (e.g., separate CSID/device registration per chain)?
- If no, what is the recommended approach to handle this business requirement within the regulatory framework?
