Fatoora Generation Services

Dear @Ankit_Tiwari

We have seen the below screenshot related to Fatoora Generation Services in ZATCA portal where certain taxpayers whose yearly invoices are limited to 1000 invoices will be allowed to use this service. We have an entity, under wave 16, who is about to go-live and is exploring this option. In this case, we have few queries below. Appreciate if you can confirm.

• If the entity will use this service, does this mean that the Company is no longer required to integrate its ERP with ZATCA for Phase 2 of e-invoicing purposes? Will ZATCA still impose penalties for non-integration?
• Do we need to submit any application or obtain approval from ZATCA to use this service? How can we know if the entity is qualified for this service?
• Is there any guideline issued by ZATCA related to this? If yes, please share.

Request you to kindly provide clarity on above queries.

@juhisomaya Fatoora Generation Service is primarily intended for facilitating those taxpayers who do not have invoicing solutions of their own (such as freelancers, real estate owners, individual professionals etc) or as a back-up in case inhouse systems undergo upgrades or are not available due to technical issues. This facility should not be considered as an alternative to in-house ERPs or billing systems. If there is an existing ERP system or billing solution being used for accounting purposes and for generating related documents (including invoices), then CSID should be onboarded on such billing solutions to enable generation of Phase 2 compliant invoices.
Terms and conditions specified on the Fatoora Generation Service portal should be referred carefully as using this service doesn’t absolve taxpayers of non-compliance.
