We would like to confirm whether it is mandatory to print the new Saudi Riyal symbol on the PDF invoices generated for eInvoicing compliance in Saudi Arabia or if it is acceptable to use “SAR”

For now, it is not mandatory you can use SAR as it is acceptable.

For compliance and consistency with the latest guidelines, it is important to confirm whether to display the new SAR symbol universally or only when the invoice currency is SAR, and otherwise show the respective foreign currency symbol.

As per our Understanding the Total VAT amount should always shows and send to ZATCA in the SAR only. we need your confirmation on the other fields.

Your confirmation on this matter will help us ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards in all documentation.

@saalotaibi Do we have any validation from ZATCA regarding the use of currency symbols in the PDF? For example, is it acceptable to print symbols like SAR or USD?
