Airline Industry Treatment

Dear All,

I am writing to ask something specific to Airline Industry,

  1. Let’s assume an Airline raises a ticket to a customer through an agent, will that be considered as a B2B or B2C customer? since the end customer is going a person but the airline is doing so through an agent?
  2. and if the ticket was directly sent to the customer then, that would be a B2C immediately, correct?
  3. Can the invoice number be the Reservation number(PNR)?
  4. For a B2C invoice, the customer receives the ticket but then the airline receives the data from IATA afterwards, might be after 24 hours, would that be okay specifically to Airline since all the mandatory details won’t be received until we raise the ticket to the customer?.

1- If the Client is Business and the invoice will issue in its name so B2B otherwise it’s B2C
2- Yes, B2C
3- Invoice Number is an Identifier - free text …PNR can be used … but better to issue a special combination seqential meaning for this filed … and put PNR in the Note Field
4- Amadieus & Other reservations systems will reponse immediatly … you must follow the Invoicing rules …B2C … max of 24 hrs and B2B max of 15 days from the next month of the Delivery date.

I hope It Helps
