Validation for E-Invoice Generation Using Suspended VAT Registration

An entity initially obtained VAT registration, along with a separate registration for its sister concern. Later, they secured Group VAT registration, leading to them suspending the existing VAT registrations. Despite this, the entity was able to generate E-invoices using its old VAT registration number(status - suspended).
Is there no validation on the portal to check if the Seller VAT identification number is active?

@juhisomaya members of VAT Group whose individual VAT # is “suspended” must do the onboarding using VAT Group Registration Number through the lead member. There is a validation but as back-end check. This taxpayer will be reached out by ZATCA for using individual VAT # instead of Group VAT #.
