# Is it mandatory to archive PDFs?

Is it mandatory to archive PDFs? According to e-invoicing regulation, we understand only e-invoices and notes in UBL format must be electronically archived.

No, it is not mandatory to archive PDFs. Data can be stored as XML files or even as SQL database as long as the original XML can be reconstituted and produce the same hash (in latter case file name should also be in SQL).
